Morning Yoga Class
- Waking up the body and mind: Morning yoga aims to shake off sleepiness and invigorate your system, much like a “nature’s espresso”.
- Setting a positive intention: Many classes encourage setting a daily intention to cultivate a focused and mindful approach to the day ahead.
- Gentle warm-up and movement: Classes often begin with gentle movements and stretches to prepare your body for more dynamic poses.
- Connecting with the breath: Emphasis is placed on breathwork (Pranayama) to enhance focus, energize, and promote calmness.

Bio:
Cat McElveen is a yoga teacher, weaver of women’s spaces, and retreat facilitator based in Asheville, NC. After experiencing almost 24 years of being highly sensitive, anxious, and disconnected, Cat traveled to India to study Kriya and classical Tantra yoga with the masters. The ancient tools and technology of authentic yoga changed her life, bringing her into a state of connection with her body and inner wisdom. For the past 10 years, Cat has been teaching Kriya yoga and women’s empowerment work in studios, workshops, and international retreats. She believes that healing happens in community, and her women’s circles, retreats, and community events create spaces for people to witness each other in this divine journey of being human. Cat holds E-RYT 500 Hour and YACEP certifications from Yoga Alliance. She trained at Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India.
